Escape corruption by lust!
Whaaaat??
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
That’s right! The Dark Lord promises that by your default survival skill of lust you can escape corruption and be of a Divine Nature. This topic is treading on a line of Truth. Since God promised us immortality (as far as we know). And we would not want immortality if it was not somehow in the cards. Attainable.
But wanting to be as God Almighty is another topic all together. Being a god and wanting to be The Almighty God are two different things.
Many humans do want to be a god. I know I do. I crave immortality. Why wouldn’t I? Being human sucks. Death looms over our bodies most of our lives. We get sick, weak, make mistakes, take wrong actions, and screw over those we Love most. Humans are broken even after being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit we are still fallable here on Earth.
The highest prize we can attain is to know ourselves and accept ourselves and also others as they are. Accept people for being right where they are supposed to be. Even after accepting my human condition I still judge others, engage in false pride, and take credit in my attituded for things only God can give. I am still erroneous and prideful. Even after all the work God did on me. And all the work I did on myself.
But I do recognize Truth and lust is not the deliverer. Nor does it lead to freedom from bondage.
The scripture is desecrated.
